Orientation is a customizable experience for all new students—undergraduate and graduate!

In addition to the events below, you'll have the chance to participate in library tours, information technology sessions, green campus living sessions, University Learning Centre sessions, mature student sessions and more!

Aboriginal Students’ Centre Welcome
For Aboriginal students

9:00am–3:00pm Arts 156.1

Meet the staff at the Aboriginal Students' Centre, have lunch with the Elders, learn about First Year Academic Programs, Mentorship, and Late Night Study, and challenge your peers to a game of beach volleyball at Louis'!

Students who register and attend all ASC events will have their name in to win a Lenovo SL400 notebook.

GSS Sneak Peek
For Greystone Scholars

5:00pm–9:00pm Arts 143

Learn what it means to be a Greystone Scholar! Get introduced to campus with other first-year Greystone Scholars by going on a campus tour. Challenge your future classmates to beach volleyball and enjoy some food.

Expo Information Fair, where you can get to know campus & the city – and learn how to spice up your student experience through involvement in campus clubs and other activities.

College Welcome

9:00am Meet in The Bowl

Spend some time getting to know your own College! You’ll learn more about College expectations, learn your College’s cheer, get prepared for a solid academic experience and have some fun with the College staff and student societies.

International Students Welcome 2009!
For International students

8:45am–12:00pm STM Cafeteria

The International Student Office (ISO) holds an International Students' Welcome to assist international students with their transition and settlement to the University of Saskatchewan and the city of Saskatoon. This day-long event is for all new international undergraduate, graduate and exchange students. Fun activities, food and more are planned for the afternoon for students and their families.

Planning for Parent Orientation 2010 is under way! In the meantime, check out the schedule from 2009 below.

The U of S welcomes all VIPs—Very Important Parents—to campus for an event-filled day. Parent Orientation assists parents in establishing realistic expectations and offers valuable information to support both parents and students in making a successful transition to university. A variety of topics of interest to the VIPs of new U of S students will be presented. These include: housing, money management, academic requirements, health services, U of S student life and family transition. These presentations are provided by U of S faculty and staff, and also by current U of S students!
